What Are We Here For

It’s easy. We are here to spread the gospel of the good news to everyone who we come in contact with. In Acts 1:8. We find that Jesus sent His disciples to a area that they were very familiar with at first Jerusalem. Then He sent them to the neighboring area of Judea. But what happens next is what so exciting. Jesus sent His disciples to a people who they didn’t care for very much the Samaritans. Isn’t that just like Jesus to take you out of your comfort zone to fulfill your destiny. When you are outside your comfort zone you will have more of a tendency to re lie on the Holy Spirit to lead you instead of doing things your own way. Once you are able to minister to people you don’t have much in common with or someone who has hurt you the healing you need will come and then you will be ready for the next step of fulfilling the great commission. And that is to go to the uttermost ends of the earth with no prejudice of any kind in your heart just the love of Jesus. If you are thinking about going on the mission field someday please attend our Project A 1:8 mission banquet on the 23rd of Nov..   Don’t miss you chance to talk with people who have ministered here in the homeland and overseas with the good news of Jesus Christ. They are ordinary people just like you. You to can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

Jim
