A lot to be thankful for…
Last night I went to see John Mason at a combined service in Winamac. I was excited because he’s written books, and I really wanted to hear what he had to say. His message was short but challenging. He spoke about gratitude, and his closing question is one I’ve been thinking about all day: “What would your life look like if, for the next twenty years, you were the most grateful and appreciative person you know?”
Kind, appreciative words, he says, are the greatest weapon for good in the earth. I believe that’s true. It’s hard not to love someone who’s grateful for everything and who makes sure that people know how valuable they are and how much they are appreciated. Last night I thanked God again for the amazing people in my life, for my family at Church of the Heartland… I am blessed beyond measure!
Take some time today to reflect on the ways that God has blessed you. Spend some time being thankful. He gives great gifts!
