Hey Heartlanders!
Hope you are all enjoying this snowy weather. From a teacher who has had a few extra hours and a day off, know that I have…. but don’t worry, you’ll all be laughing when I’m still in school in mid-June! Thought for the week…When life sends you a snow storm…get out the sleds!
Here are a few important reminders…
Our second annual February Fun Day is Saturday, February 7, from 10:00-3:00 at Logansport Mall. We’ll be working behind the scenes, along with other churches and organizations to provide a free, fun-filled, day for our community! Inflatable set up will start around 8:30. We’ll need lots of volunteers to keep the inflatables up and running with excellence!
Jerri Torrey will be at church on Sunday with a sign-up sheet. Please sign up for a shift or two! Our volunteers from last year had a great time! Be sure to tell your friends and neighbors so they won’t miss out on a memory making family day!
Weigh down workshop classes starts Wednesday, February 4, 6:00pm at Church of the Heartland, Logansport. If you need inspiration and accountability with healthy eating habits, come and join this small group who are determined improve perspectives.
Man-up, men’s group, which meets at COTH Plymouth every other Saturday is going very well. If you need some guy, hang out time where you’ll be challenged to spiritually grow, plan on attending.
Also, this week is the February A1:8 offering that supports the missions branch of Heartland by strengthening churches and mission projects in the US, Uganda, Serbia, Bulgaria, India, and other parts of the world. When you give to these missions offerings, you’re blessing the body of Christ and helping to build the kingdom of God in many different nations. During this offering time, you may fulfill the monthly pledge made at the A 1:8 banquet or give a special gift for spreading the Gospel to the nations.
Over the past few weeks, Pastor Jim and I have been encouraged to see Church of the Heartland working together as the body of Christ. We love to see you helping people in need and praying for each other. It’s a joy to us as pastors to see you supporting one other.
THANK YOU to those of you who are praying and reaching out to your brothers and sisters behind the scenes. Be encouraged, because God does not let any of those things go unnoticed.
What can we say…doing life with all of you Heartlanders is exactly where we want to be!
We appreciate you and look forward to seeing you Sunday,
Pastor Michele
